The rest is a little hazy, but I remember a police car stopping and the cop saying I probably had whiplash, and I should go to the emergency room in town to get checked out.

He said a Dallas car accident was an everyday thing, the way people drive so crazy today!

The hospital doctor gave me a quick look over, and said I had a bad whiplash.

He said it was a common neck injury after an automobile accident.

He gave me some painkillers, told me I’d probably feel neck pain for a few days, and gave me some muscle relaxer pills to provide some pain-relief for the next several days.

January 23rd 

I woke up feeling horrible neck pain! I definitely had a bad whiplash injury!

I decided to take the medication the emergency room doctor gave me,

but as soon as the pills wore off I still felt awful neck pain.

Hopefully I’ll have some pain relief in a couple of days because

I really hate taking these prescription pain pills.

They make me feel out of it and sick to my stomach…

But I don’t know what else to do.

January 28th… Car Accident Dallas Diary… 

The other guy’s personal injury insurance company called.

They said I was probably okay and the back and neck soreness would wear off, and then I’d be okay.

They offered to pay me $300 on the spot to sign a personal injury waiver. I thought it was too early to know how bad my whiplash injury was, so I told her I would wait a few days.

She said there was no need to get a personal injury car accident lawyer. The insurance lady told me that car accident attorneys would cost me a lot of money.

The repair shop had not yet determined the damage to my car from the car accident, and this personal injury insurance rep was already pressuring me to settle my car accident case now and put it behind me.

But I still feel injured so I told her I’d wait. She sounded irritated at me…

January 31st… Car Accident Dallas Diary… 

I told my young daughter I couldn’t take her to play with her little friends today because I was too sore and my back and neck were hurting.

She got upset and started crying, so I started crying.

Why don’t I feel better?

This car accident has really messed me up…

I’m going to my family doctor tomorrow, maybe he’ll have some ideas.

February 1st… Car Accident Dallas Diary… 

Dr. Dave told me the exact same thing the emergency room doctor did. He prescribed stronger pills for pain relief in order to get me through the day and told me I should try physical therapy in a couple weeks if I still don’t feel better.

I looked at the warning label on these pain relief pills.

Side effects include kidney damage, liver damage, gastrointestinal bleeding… all these things sound worse than my neck pain!

Should I really be taking these pain pills ???

February 14th… Car Accident Dallas Diary… 

It’s been almost a month since my car accident and

I’m only feeling worse pain from my whiplash injury…

I decided to try physical therapy. Hopefully this is the answer I’ve been looking for.

The personal injury insurance lady called again, too. She’s pushing me to settle my car accident case but I still don’t feel better.

March 10th… Car Accident Dallas Diary… 

I’ve done physical therapy for 3 weeks now and I don’t think it’s done anything for me, even the therapist seems to be confused as to why I’m not getting much pain relief from my neck injury.

I’m going back to Dr. Dave in a couple of days to see if he has any other ideas. There has to be a better way!

March 12th… Car Accident Dallas Diary… 

I just left Dr. Dave’s office in tears…

He told me I should consider surgery to help with the neck pain!

I’m supposed to meet with the surgeon in 5 days to talk it over.

I don’t want neck surgery!

I don’t know what’s wrong. My car accident wasn’t even that severe, or so I thought.

Hundreds of people get into low speed rear end car accidents like mine every day…

Do they go through this same thing, too?

I read the whole story by a Dallas car accident doctor. I requested the Report about whiplash neck pain and back injuries caused by car accidents.

March 16th… Car Accident Dallas Diary… 

The Report from the Dallas car accident doctor came in today! I opened it immediately and couldn’t believe what I was reading!

I found out the drugs and pain pills I was taking would never fix my hidden injury but possibly make it even worse if I kept taking them..

And I was surprised to learn that most doctors don’t even have the training or experience to detect and treat these types of hidden injuries!

The report had an offer of a “Multiple Motion Imaging Test” to detect if I suffer from a hidden injury, so I’m going to go in tomorrow and find out.

I’ll let you know how it goes…

March 17th… Car Accident Dallas Diary… 

I met with the Dallas doctor who wrote the Free Report… He performed the detailed Imaging tests…  It was quick and easy, and he didn’t waste my time.

He showed me exactly where the bones in my neck and back were mis-aligned from my car accident and causing my whiplash problems…

And also where my muscles and ligaments were over stretched and injured from the car accident collision forces.

We talked for a while about what I’ve been going through and he told me he hears it all the time from car accident victims just like me.

I really think this doctor knows what he’s talking about! 

I found out he’s treated over 72 thousand patient visits! 

That’s a lot…

Why do 18 wheelers drive so fast but never seem to be stopped for speeding as passenger cars are?

Today, 6/27/06, in the Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas area, there were 5 reported 18 wheelers in accidents and one death. All were speeding. One went almost off a bridge, one was turned over in making a turn (USP Truck) another one or two had the same problem and one lost control by speeding and lost his life.
Yes, deadlines. I too have deadlines but do not speed. Did not hear on TV or Radio any car wrecks today much less a death. In Texas, rigs have to obey or drivers loose their jobs after to many speeding tickets. The speeders I usually see are out of state rigs. i was told by a judge that even when they send info about a ticket to most states, nothing happens. I do not know this as a fact. And yes, passenger cars pass me all the time but the rigs seem to even pass them more than they pass the rigs on I45 between Ferris and Corsicana. Just wanted to stir up some answers and make people more aware of the problem. Of course when a rig turns over it closes down the street for quite some time but it does not take long to drag a car off. So, who was slowed down to a snail pace today because of a wreck, car or rig?

Im sorry big trucks seem to slow down your day. Im sure you are the most important person in the world. Maybe what we should do is just ban trucks all together. That way you and all the other people with blinders can go about your day without any hassles. but just remember when you go anywhere and there is no food or gas, or anything you want(cars, clothes, tvs,etc.etc. etc.) youll wish the trucks were there. Most truck accidents are caused by cars. Just pay attention when you are on the road, watch all the people that cut trucks off, due to not paying attention. Talking on phones, putting on makeup, getting on to their children, having sex, just dwhua(that is driving with head up …) I am a dallas native and i hear the traffic accidents daily. Many more cars get into accidents than trucks. Did you hear why the trucks wrecked? Where there any reports on the cause of the accident? Maybe cars caused them. The next time you get a speeding ticket, or ticket for anything, do you have to show a log book, or have a dot inspection? Do you get shut down for 10hrs? Do you have to be away from home for weeks/months at a time. When you clock out from work, are you done for the day? Truck drivers are never done untill that truck is parked at a terminal and they are home. I have been a safe driver(over 800,000 safe miles) for ten years. Not all of us truck drivers drive like idiots. A select few don't make up the majority. and just so you know 95% of truckers are not union.

Why is the insurance company withholding…?

My mom and I were in a car accident in May. We weren’t at fault. We have a lawyer. Today we went in and he says that things are going good except for the fact that the insurance company is withholding how much coverage they have…or something. He said that if they do not tell them by wednesday of next week, we will sue because we can’t make demands until we know about the coverage. Why would they hold out? Will they hurry and settle with us when we file a suit? MY lawyer said that it won’t be two years because we are in a small town unlike Houston or Dallas.
He thinks that the amount of all of the surgeries my mom will need might surpass the coverage. Her knee surgery alone costs $12,000. He said that if he files a suit, we will automatically be entitled to the information. And I THINK MY MOM DESERVES THE MOST SHE CAN GET. She has has had major health problems for years. As soon as she was FINALLY feeling good, a kid without a license pulls out in front of us and breaks her nose, TOTALLY screws up her knee, causes irreversable damage to her ankle, and much more. And I have the greatest lawyer around here. Just wanted to know why an insurance co. would withold info because I didn't think if the question until after we left the office.

From an adjusters prospective: Because the value of your injury claim has nothing to do with the amount of coverage. The value of your injury is based on the injury itself. The only time the amount of coverage comes into play, is if your injury exceeds the coverage limit. In which case, the adjuster will tell your attorney that once your medical package has been submitted. If that happens, your attorney will contact your insurance company. It’s pretty common practice for an adjuster to not tell the coverage limit.

In my experience, all filing a law suit does is slow the process down. It’s much faster to settle a claim with out a law suit. Insurance companies are not afraid of law suits. They will hire an defense attorney and the discovery process will begin.
