If you are familiar with Dallas the series you remember this:
Patrick Duffy leaves and returns
At the end of the 1985 season, Patrick Duffy expressed his desire to leave the series. Thus, his character of Bobby died when he was run over by a car driven by his sister-in-law, Katherine Wentworth. This proved to be a mistake as it left the show without one of its most popular characters. Larry Hagman persuaded Duffy to return to the series the following season. Dallas scriptwriters created a storyline which featured Pam waking up to find Bobby in the shower (in the May 1986 cliffhanger episode) – with the realization that the story lines of the preceding season, including the accident, were nothing more than a lengthy dream sequence (thus invalidating the entire 1985-1986 season of the show).
So if they want, they can indeed bring her back!
It may be that she was written out at her own request.
She may have been offered other roles which she would prefer to play.
Dirty Den also came back from the dead, but there was no screen witness of his killing, just a splash in the canal.
I think Danielle has gone for good, which I agree is a shame – it would be nice for something cheerful to happen in Eastenders!

Not to mention the Den Watts story…
She might not be dead anyway. Like Ronnie is a fantastic doctor tut.
Might have a lengthy sequence in the hospital tomorrow.

I agree with poster Christy, Danielle was only ever in a soap to supplement Ronnie Mitchell's own storyline. So, unless EatEnders come up with a jugular (miracle) tomorrow, then I'm afraid this is it.
I actually read just over a week ago an article by the actress who plays Danielle. She had already stressed that her contract was terminated and during her own evaluation, she expressed that she wasn't really happy and agreeable on some of the scripts/acts she had to carry out.
It's a shame, because towards the end, she was growing in confidence!!
Cheers

I HOPE DANIELLE COMES BACK, OR BETTER STILL, STAYS ALIVE. its not fair, we've waited almost 6 months for that storyline to end, and then she dies, waste, complete waste of the audiences time.

Sorry but. Bobby's death and reincarnation was the most tacky piece of soap history ever. If you kill a character on screen that should be it. I'd hate to be a screenwriter confronted with the dilemma of bringing back a character that millions have seen die.
