my friend hit a man on the side of the road here is the story …….what do you think she will get ????
An Irving woman accused of hitting and killing a good Samaritan with her car earlier this month said she fled the scene on Stemmons Freeway because she was scared, according to police documents.
Hailey Renee Green, 23, faces felony charges in the death of Ronald Glen Davis Jr., who had stopped to help two stalled motorists early Feb. 7 on northbound Interstate 35 near Royal Lane.
Green posted $100,000 bond and was released Friday from the Dallas County Jail. She could not be reached for comment.
The arrest was little comfort for Davis’ wife, Jessica Brock, who saw her husband thrown by a northbound vehicle into the southbound lanes, where he was struck again. Davis, 30, was buried Monday.
“I’m close to a nervous breakdown,” said Brock, 23. “I haven’t slept in days.”
A witness led investigators to Green, according to police documents.
Before 2 a.m., Green was driving toward the stalled vehicles in her four-door Mercury Milan when she swerved left to avoid hitting Brock and another person, police said.
After the accident, Green stopped on the left shoulder and a man riding in the front passenger seat got out of the car to check on Davis, according to police documents. That’s when Green fled the crash scene, the documents said.
The passenger she left behind helped lead detectives to her within days. Green told police that after she fled in fear she went to sleep
im guessing she might have been drinking not sure! but she started back to work today she is out on bond
yea she didnt tell any of her friends about it we all found out this morning from the news. Its so sad bc we cannot believe she did this, she also went home and went to sleep after she hit this man so we are not sure if maybe she had been drinking or what

she does deserve to be in jail for a while.. most likely she was drunk… the friend who she left behind should be happy, he/ she may get off easy.. sorry for all parties involved… condolences to the good samaritan.

Maybe “involuntary man slaughter” but why did she freak?! Yeah, I guess we would all panic, but your inital response would be to get out and see if you could help someone. Not take off and hope that someone would come along and offer them help. Not only that…she left a friend behind. THAT’S messed up.

It’s hard to say, because we do not know enough about the case.
She will definitly get charged with fleeing the scene and probably get the maximum penalty for that,
The fact that she fled does not help matters, She may be charged with manslaughter, because of her behavior after the accident. If they can show that she was drunk or on drugs then she will get manslaughter.
If she was clean and sober and just had an accident, cooperated with the police, and never fled the scene then she would most likely not be charged with anything, It would have just been ruled an accident.
